The Bristol Weaving Mill was established in 2015 by Juliet Bailey and Franki Brewer with the aim of creating a space in which the industrial processes of fabric manufacture and the craft of woven textiles could be combined using the skill and unique perspective of hand-weavers.

For this blanket collection, Margaret Howell was pleased to take part in The Bristol Weaving Mill’s annual Community Weave Project. The blankets were woven on a fully traceable British wool warp base using un-dyed dead stock wool from local farmers, and the British wool weft yarns were selected by Margaret Howell. The final result has been to produce textured blankets in two different patterns, each in two colour ways, which were developed together using in-house hand looms.

These blankets are exclusive to Margaret Howell and because they have been made using dead stock yarn, quantities in each design are limited.
