The fabrics selected for MHL. collections are inspired by the natural, durable poplins and drills found in workwear.

Irregular Cotton Drill is woven in Italy from 70% recycled and 30% organic cotton, with naturally occurring slubs in the yarns creating a cloth with intentional irregularities and a distinctively dry hand feel.

The dense, loom-state drill fabric is then piece dyed, a process that allows the colour to gradually reveal its subtle melange character through wash and wear.
