Technique

Our knitwear is constructed using a fully fashioned technique, shaping each piece directly on the knitting machine. This method reduces waste and enhances the fit through the shoulders, armholes, and neckline. The seamless finish ensures the longevity of each garment and its effortless feel against the skin.

Precision

To make our shirts we not only rely on the expertise of the machinist but also the cutter. Over 20 elements of each shirt are cut to an exact specification and carefully constructed to ensure stripes and checks are matched to near invisibility, exemplifying their skill and precision.

Hand finishing

From the beginning Margaret chose to work with the best natural fabrics from the world's best mills. Many of our suppliers continue to utilise the skill of hand finishing, giving a human connection and synergy between material and construction.

Buttons

Our button supplier has been producing horn and mother of pearl buttons for over a century. Using these natural, sustainable materials gives a unique character and hand feel to each individual button – which we always cross-stitch onto our garments.

 

Bench made

Our family-run Italian shoe manufacturer only produces bench made shoes. The naturally tanned leathers we select are hand cut, constructed and finished by artisans dedicated to maintaining the art of traditional shoe making.
