'I’m inspired by the authenticity I can find in nature, people and places, and I think it is the same quality I look for in the materials I choose.' – Margaret Howell
For designers, their choices of materials can be a response to the times – few remain a constant. The uniqueness and authenticity of British heritage fabrics is borne from both the surrounding environment and the purpose for which they were intended. These qualities have quietly shaped the look and feel of a Margaret Howell collection from the beginning, and through the continuous evolution of design, will do so for years to come.
